Interior Design on a Budget : Part 2 (My Bedroom)

Updated: May 31, 2018

Hi beauty! Welcome to my bedroom. I'm excited to share this intimate part of my living space with you. I have collected a few mirrored pieces over the last couple of years and each piece fit perfectly when I moved into this space. I love the feminine feel to my room and all the natural light, especially for glam time. Speaking of "glam time" let's get right into more of this room so you can see just how I store my makeup and where I get my glam on.

Tip: Love a full length mirror, I've had this antiqued gold one since high school. Kirkland's (my mom used to make my brother and I go there with her all the time as kids #lol) has some of the nicest and affordable options for this type of mirror. *similar here*

My bedroom has more of an elegant, chic vibe compared to my living and kitchen area (see here). The mirrored silver, pops of gold and soft pink really give it that ladylike touch- perfect for a single gal like me. Moving into this space I really enjoyed decorating and making it my own.

Tip: Vintage/hand-me-down furniture can be a beautiful accent to a room, especially if you get it recovered with a fabric you love. My mom gave me my beautiful gold vanity chair she got at an estate sale years ago. I ordered the dusty rose velvet fabric *similar here*, had it recovered and absolutely adore how it came out. It's the perfect vanity chair.

Tip: I like storing some of my makeup in the acrylic storage on my vanity. Most of the acrylic storage I purchased at Home Goods or on Amazon.

Tip: A great place to purchase high end furniture is Joss and Main or Wayfair online. I purchased both my mirrored desk/vanity *similar here* and mirrored tall dresser *similar here* from there. These are my staple investment pieces in my bedroom and as you can see I incorporate a lot of affordable pieces, as I mentioned as a decorating tip in my Part 1 blog post.

Shop some of my bedrooms favs:

1) Zadro Makeup Mirror *similar here* 2) Pink Himalayan Salt Lamp

3) Pink Heart Shaped Pillow 4) Mirrored Jewerly Box *similar here*

7) Gold Mirrored Perfume Tray *similar here* 8) Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker
